I just got my new HP laptop computer with windows 8 a couple days ago. I am now happy again I can do my blogging without the constant start and restarting of my old computer. It had major issues it is a desktop dell computer, I will still try and have it repaired soon because I have so much stuff on that machine that I have to retrieve and set up in my new laptop, but that will take many laborious, painstaking hours to get all my programs loaded in my new system. Windows 8 is still new to me and I am learning new things each day that I have time to work with it. I love my new laptop so far. I guess we are never too old to learn new things. Windows 8 seems to be the way of the future for technologies, with all the tablets, i-pads, etc, that everyone will have to take the plunge eventually to upgrade to windows 8 applications. Well, enough on that subject, hopefully I will have more time for blogging now not to mention much easier.

Ever since the release of the Graphic 45 Ladies Diary Collection, I have wanted to get my hands on this line. After obtaining these products, my mind was in a constant designing mode to create this mini. My friend Paula (who just so happens to own a scrapbook store) was also on board with me to create this project. She held her second year anniversary crop last weekend so this afforded us the time to begin to work on the project together. There were only a couple pages that were not completed at the close of the crop. Being the compulsive person that I am, I couldn’t rest until the project was complete. I worked on the album for the last couple days and I can now say it is finished and ready for photos. Perhaps, I can get some sleep now. I have awakened in the middle of the night with ideas in my head about adding embellishments to the already what should have been completed pages, but I just kept adding more and more. There are so many wonderful chipboard embellishments and stickers that come with the collection, not to mention the stamps that gives you unlimited possibilities to create multiple projects. I really love all of Graphic 45’s products it lends to a more nostalgic and vintage feel to my projects. With so many distressing techniques, it is an absolute must to add this line to my already overwhelming stash.

I made this album using Melisa Frances “First Class Mail Paper Collection”, Marion Smith’s digital designs “Sewing Box” series downloadable papers, Prima flowers, various Tim Holtz trinkets etc., various laces, Hug Snug seam binding ribbon. I, also, used the Tim Holtz “Sewing Room die and Tim Holtz “Caged Bird” die. I used a lot of sewing ephemera from my computer files that I have saved for a few years. Most of the tags were made from the paper lines and various sized shipping tags. I am still in the scope of using some of my older scrapbooking supplies, therefore I tried to incorporate them in this album. I love all the new Prima lines as I had stated in the last couple of posts and before I go wild and crazy I want to use up some of my stash to justify new purchase. LOL!!!. I also wanted to mention that on page (9) the sewing box is my actual sewing box, I took a picture of it and printed (2) copies and made this cute die cut, and lined the inside top cover with fabric similar to my sewing box and took a picture of the inside showing my sewing supplies. My passion for vintage sewing memorabilia, old buttons, spools of thread were a must for this album. I didn’t really decorate the dress forms elaborately in this album, just wanted the plain and subtle feel to them. I recently finished another dress form book using “My Teddyboo” dress form book. I will post a link to her website if you are interested in ordering one of her albums.http://myteddyboo.com/. Please leave a comment on my page under the chat a while on the left side of my blog home page let me know what you think about this album.

I had a lot of fun making this album, although this is another vintage mini album with pinks, creams tones, I used a lot of different embellishments that are not necessarily prima products. I tried to use a lot of my stash to create this album. I guess you can say that I love anything pink as long as it has vintage tones. I can’t get enough Prima products….So my Style!!!!
