Clear Stamp Storage Idea

Since I have a very limited amount of storage area in my little "hideaway" spot for scrapbooking, I needed to come up with a solution for my dilema of where to store my clear acrylic stamps. I took the idea from my newly acquired "CLIP IT UP" unit that I got for Christmas.
I had an old metal decorative towel bar that I have had for ages with no where to put it. The towel bar was just lying around and I was always moving it from spot to spot, however,
I could never part with it I just kept moving it. A little light went off in my head, I zipped clipped it to an existing metal rack I am using to store scrapbooking supplies so I purchased some closed style metal curtain hooks and clipped my clear stamps in extra heavy duty clear plastic envelopes that I purchased from Office Depot and hung them on the now useful towel bar.
I am so excited about actually being able to see my stamps. I will be able to use them more
now that I have easy access to them. I am loving it! The smallest things seem to make me happy. Just thought I would share this idea with you.

Holiday Double Page Layout

This is a 2-page Layout that I gave out as a gift to several people on my gift list.

I made the background using plain textured background, using Ranger Distressing Inks.

I also used a circle template, and the Stampin UP Priceless stamp set and some of the Clear

Holiday stamp sets from Art Warehouse.

I used the extra paper left over from the Christmas Album class (My Mind's Eye-"Festive") for the photo mats.

This was a fun project. I plan to use the same technique in future class.

Christmas in Virginia

Recap of Holiday Events

The trip to Virginia to visit our daughter, Tina and family was both joyous and eventful.
I loved being with them so much even when our Christmas dinner didn't quite go as we
had hoped. Tina's oven went on the blink Christmas Eve and we had to travel around
20 miles to cook Christmas dinner at her mother-in-laws house and then travel 20 miles back to Tina's house to a starving family. The turkey never got done, thank GOD, the ham was good.
After all the dilema surrounding shopping during the holidays for a new range and many
fast food trips, we finally got to eat a homecooked meal before we left for home. Even with
all the other minor events that happened, it was good to be with family for the holidays. Tina
and I never got to do any scrapbooking- "Boo Hoo!" I am hoping to go back in the Spring
and she and I will have more time to visit and hopefully let our creative juices flow and come
back with some fresh new ideas to share with everyone in upcoming classes.

I trust 2008 will be a good year for everyone! One of my New Year's Resolutions is to try and
complete projects I start and also complete some of the ones that are not finished from 2007.
I am not going to go overboard with a long list of Resolutions which will probally not happen anyway. Start out simple and anything else that gets accomplished will be a great big PLUS.
Pray more for others and be thankful for what I have and the blessings will come. I don't take
the time as much as I should to let others now how much I appreciate them in my life, this is
one of the things I plan to do this year.

God Bless everyone who reads this post!

February Class "OLD LETTERS & KEEPSAKES" Paper Bag Album

“OLD LETTERS AND KEEPSAKE ALBUM CLASS”
If you like the “ aged and dirty” look this class is for you!

This class will be a paper bag album using many various nostalgic and vintage style stamps. You will be getting “down and dirty”.
Please bring an old shirt to wear over your
Clothing to prevent the ink stains from getting on your clothing.
This class will feature Walnut inking, and aging techniques.
The laces and ribbons provided will vary. This will be more of a free-style completed project.
The Kit that will be provided will have all papers and elements that will be pre-cut, however, you will be doing lots of paper-
tearing and inking around all edges.
My completed album will be used as a guide to help with ideas in placement of elements, however, you will use your own creative
imagination for the free-style of stamping throughout
your album.

A few unique treasures will be added the day of the class,
you will not see them displayed in the preview of the album until the day of the class. ( I am Keeping some things a secret to keep you wondering.)

The date for this upcoming class will be announced soon. The deadline for sign ups will be January 21st 2008.

I am excited to share with you these fun techniques.

Hope to see you there.
